Sunset Racing

The factory-entered Porsche 956 driven by Vern Schuppan, Hurley Haywood and Al Holbert is leading the very fast Lancia LC2 driven by Alessandro Nannini, Paolo Barilla and Jean-Claude Andruet in the late Saturday afternoon of the 1983 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Porsche went on to win the race by only 64 seconds over another factory-entered Porsche while the Lancia’s race ended after 14 hours when its engine failed.
